OK - I'm entering! My #1,2 and #3 resolutions are - STOP BUYING YARN and start using up what I already have. It is getting out of control! What about yours?

Congrats on this blogging milestone!

My knitting resolution is to MAKE MY FIRST SWEATER! I bought the yarn a few months ago but have been bogged down by holiday knitting and, well, fear. No more of that. Enough scarves and hats - I want something stupendous! ;)

Congratulations on 100!

Like Lorinda, I am joining the 2007 Knit from your Stash. I've got so much yarn now that I need to destash a bit so 2007 is an ideal opportunity to do so :)

My knitting resolution would be to work through my socks in progress, and try very very hard not to start new sock projects unless there just really isn't one already started that's appropriate. I had well over 30 in progress when I wrapped up my count at the end of Socktoberfest. I'd like to get that number down this coming year!

Judy, like so many others, I am NOT going to buy more yarn this year. I WILL knit and weave from my stash. Especially, I WILL finish (or rip) those projects that have been stalled.
100 posts? WOO HOO!!!

My resolution is to do more charity knitting, which I recently started doing through www.carewool.com, a website some friends started.
Through all my health problems I've learned that knowing someone cares is a very powerful thing.

My second resolution would be to make myself a sweater, but as I'm in the weight losing process (15 pounds in 6 weeks!), I probably won't start one until next summer!

Congrats on your 100th post!!

My only knitting resolution is to zip through my physical therapy as soon as possible after my cast comes off so I can resume knitting!!!

On another note, I tag you in the weirdness meme game. http://tresbonbabble.blogspot.com/

In response to Allison's resolution....

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!!!

Now that I've picked myself up off the floor from laughing, I just wanted to tell Judy to disqualify Allison due to the absurdity of her resolution.

My new year's knitting resolution is to knit more for charity. I choose this as my resolution because I *really* would like to stop buying yarn and knit from the ever growing stash, but I can't help myself, sometimes. So...knitting for charity is more than do-able. :-)

Congratulations on your 100th Post!!

My New Years Knitting resolution is; after 30+ years of knitting I'm going to Steek a project! Wish me luck!

Congrats on your 100th post, I will soon be there, probably some time in January. My New Years resolution is to finish at least 1 UFO each month and no new project can be started until I have finished at least one old one. And the Allison resolution, hhmmm that would never work for me, I saw that KAL and quickly declined, I NEED to buy new yarn frequently. I plan on winning that she who dies with the most yarn wins contest.

Congrats again on the 100th post.

I am going to knit for charity this year, starting with The Red Scarf Project in January. And I want to knit for more for others in general.

Jan said...

I am a fiber addict and have absolutely no intentions whatsoever to stop buying yarn! If I am alive, I will continue to buy yarn!

That being said, here's my knitting resolution for 2007: Knit, knit, knit! I resolve to continue knitting. I resolve to knit in public, and to knit in privit. I resolve to knit for myself, and to knit for others. I resolve to knit for gifts, and to knit for charity. I resolve to for myself. Most of all.....I RESOLVE TO CONTINUE KNITTING!!!

Congrats on 100 posts. I just had mine too. My #1 New Years knitting resolution is to finish what I've started... my son's sweater, the 2 multi-directional scarves and the many socks that are OTN.

My resolution is to branch out as much as possible starting with my bruce lee intarsia throw and then my cabled twin trees blanket. Both are on my blog if anyone is curious.

Shelly said...

Congratulations on your 100th post!

I don't usually make resolutions, but this year they're a must. My first is to finish the sweater I started for my daughter many months ago, second is to find a real name and make a blog for the scarf project I started last August, and third is to knit more scarves for the project. All very doable!

Anonymous said...

Congratulations! What a feat!

And speaking of "feet" (groan) my knitting resolution is to learn how to knit socks in the coming year. It's something I really want to learn and could probably end up being a real obsession!

Happy New Year to you!

Carol said...

Congratulations on your 100th post! My knitting resolution is to turn my stash into knitted garments, that simple!

Congrats on your 100th post Judy!

My next blog post will be my #100.

In 2007 I'd like to try lace knitting. I never knew that you could knit lace until this year, and now I'd like to knit at least one lace thing. Just have to find the right pattern first.

Happy holidays and have a fabulous 2007!

What fun! Congratulations on the 100th post!

My knitting new years resolution:
Fewer WIP's and UFO's.
I want to finish what I start, so I can start other knitting projects without feeling guilty and learn more!

btw: hello to the first commenter, another Abigail! :D

I think it would be great if I would stop buying knitting books and copying patterns and really knit something--so that will be my resolution!!

I'm with carol and abigail...

I want to get my yarn knitted up into finished products. I don't mind so much that I buy stuff... only that after I buy it it sits around and does nothing.

So, my biggest knitting resolution is to be more organized and diligent in my knitting, so that I might accomplish that goal.

Suzetta said...

A public declaration should keep me on track, so I resolve to buy NO yarn in the month of January. I know that doesn't sound like a very long time, but as an addict a month will be forever. Resolutions need to be something that you can do. No sense setting yourself up for failure, right?

What a milestone! That's great! And the contest idea is very fun--so here's my resolution:

I will learn to knit socks this year. I've just never given it a try, and I'm going to finally do it!

Anonymous said...

My number 1 resolution is to actually knit from my sock stash and to use the sock yarn that doesn't suit me any more to knit socks for children's charities.

While I'm really not a big resolutions person, my knitting new years resolution is to knit fewer projects simultaneously, so I can concentrate on each project! Also, I'd like to improve my sock knitting...

congrats on the 100th post!!

my new year's knitting resolution is to tackle double points to be able to use them w/o fear and continue trying new things on my own...i'm someone who like to be hand-held and visually taught most things, but it gives me huge satisfaction when i actually sit down and figure it out myself!

My knitting New Year's resolution is to knit more felted things. I knit felted oven mitts for my nieces for Christmas & it was so much fun! I think I'll knit small bags for them for next Christmas. Oh - and they were so well received - they all said they needed them & hadn't gotten around to buying any (we have our extended family Christmas party before Christmas 'cause we all have immediate family & in law celebrations on Christmas & Christmas Eve).

Congrats on your 100th post! I just celebrated my 500th post (in one year and 2 months of blogging!) I think I need to go to B.A. (Bloggers Anonymous!)

Anyhow, my New Year's Resolution in the knitting world is to learn how to make an adult sweater. Right now the thought of something so large scares me. I will conquer!

Congrats again on 100 posts!

My New Year's knitting resolution is to make a dent in my stash. Isn't that every knitter's goal though? I mean that would entail that enough uniterrupted leisure time could be found to actually knit. Sigh, I'm imagining knitting times to come.

Congrats on the 100th post!

My New's Resolution is to knit from my stash for 2007 - I'm joining up with the others that have decided to take on Wendy's challenge...

Hello,

My knitting resolution is to make a better podcast, and to make it less irregular.

Congrats on #100!

Nice! A contest! Love it. My New Year's resolution is create one gift a month for 2007, not necessarily to be given at Christmas, but definitely set aside for that if there isn't an immediate recipient. Congrats on the 100th post!

Juli said...

Congratulations on your 100th post! :)

In 2007, My knitting resolutions are:

1. To finish all my unfinished projects before starting any new ones.
2. To teach several children how to knit. Their mothers homeschool and have asked me to teach crafts to their children. I'm excited! :)
3. To Complete a nice big box of adults and children's hats, mittens and scarves for the food bank/homeless shelter for the 2007 holiday season.

Congratulations!

My knitting resolution is to make a sweater for myself, and finish it! I have the pattern and and the wool, and just cast on today.

I want to learn to knit a sweater that will actually fit me. I've got a couple patterns in mind.

Congrats on reaching 100!

My knitting resolution is to complete at least three of my larger UFOs in 2007 - a summer cotton top, a cabled sweater and a fair-isle vest.

Congratulations with the huge number of posts!

My resolutions are a heafty yarn diet (running though to late July at least), to knit 12 pairs of socks, where I'll use a new technique or pattern or something for each of them.

Best wishes for the new year
Karen

Here is my super positive resolution for this shiny new year:

I am going to knit something for a boy. You see, he broke up with me the day before New Year's Eve so the Sweater Curse doesn't really apply anymore. So I am going to knit him something so fabulous that he is overwhelmed with regret and is reduced to sobbing and making strained yelping noises.

If he really thinks he's going to find someone sexier and more fun than a knitter, he's a few DPNs short of a full set.

Carol said...

Congrats on your 100th! my resolution is to knit from stash and ramp up the challenge on what I knit.

Michele said...

Hi Judy,

Thanks for hosting this contest and congratulations on your 100th post! A big milestone that someday I hope to achieve.

Another thing I want to achive in my knitting this year would be socks. I don't know why I am so terrified of them and I plan to resolve this by just jumping in and doing them..

That's my resolution this year for knitting - to do socks!

soapy said...

Congrats on your 100th psot!! YIPPIE!! Keep up the great work!

For me I'd have to say my #1 resolution is to use up some stash!

I think I'm getting in under the wire on this...It's Jan. 12, and 11:47am eastern time....

My #1 resolution this year is to use more yarn from my stash and buy less yarn...don't know how long that will last though, LOL.
